Hello To All - Thank you all for being so involved with the travesty of the destroyed trees. In the 12 years Joe and I have lived in Carmel Valley I've battled "Tree Choppers" both as a private resident and as an HOA Board Member. I've assembled several files that I'm hoping may be useful in our efforts. 

***Two documents relate to a Tree Preservation Policy our HOA Board created to help slow the onslaught of people wanting HOA trees removed

***A collection of articles I've compiled that documents the significant increase in property values enjoyed by neighborhoods with mature shade trees

***And the fourth document is from the San Diego City Planning Department, dated 6-27-24, authorizing the project that resulted in the destruction of the trees

PLEASE NOTE: The UNDERLINED sentence on the first page of the last document which clearly states the results of their Environmental Review.  .....

        "alterations....do not involve removal of healthy, mature,  scenic trees..."        Just an incredible statement.
