2015 MacBook pro just updated to Catalina 10.15.6. All contacts gone. All mail previous recipients gone. How cane I get them back? Can't email anyone without them. G.

If you have another Apple device and all the Contacts are there, then the problem is with your Apple ID in Catalina. You need to make sure your MacBook is logged into your iCloud account (using your Apple ID).

If no other Apple device (iPad, iPhone) then perhaps the above will give you a clue as to where your Contacts have gone. They are synced between devices using iCould.

Good luck.

Thanks Paul. All were on my ipod touch.  Just signed in with my old Apple ID and merged "PRESTO" all back. Thanks again.

Check that you’re signed into iCloud properly and have iCloud Keychain, contacts and Drive enabled
