Hi Phil!
Please can you advise….it’s a simple query but I cannot resolve it. My battery indicator in the browser bar top right would show, normally, red that a charge is required at, usually, 10%. This does happen, however for me ,more importantly,‹ what isn’t happening is a ‘ notification warning box’ which would pop up indicting I need to attach charge. This has stopped happening.
I have the battery settings are on low power mode ‘always’. } Please see attached jpgs
I have ensured in the control centre all battery modes are on }
Can you help! What might I be missing to get it back?
Thank you
Jo
Hi Phil, sorry the email sent wasn’t intended for you!
Thanks
Dear Jo,
My emailer has done that too, assigning SMUG to a particular user, I think it must be the way the list configures messages it sends out.
I know the notification you mean, and I had a look in Settings/Notifications and can't find anything that might affect this. Now I'm going to see if it pops up on mine or not (it rarely gets that low).
It might be helpful to know which version of the OS you're running.
So 'I don't know' is my helpful answer but to look further into it, we need the OS version (I suspect it changed with an upgrade – did you upgrade recently?)
Cheers,
Jason

Hi Jason;
I have to say I get totally confused as to who to write to with a query. I did, in the end, contact Sam who helped sort out my problem
OS version: Sonoma 14.2.1. I think MAC was upgraded recently
Does this help? Can you explain who to contact with a problem?
Thanks
Jo

Hi Jo,
Just send to the list and watch out for auto-complete changing it to someone specific (as others may not think they're being asked, which is what happened to me in this case at first).
You're not guaranteed a reply of course, we're just helping out as and when we can (though it's rare, here, with such a friendly group).
Look at the 'to' field when you send to double-check it's not going to an individual even if your emailer seems to have grabbed someone's name.
cheers,
J
