Evening all,

I followed an innocent looking web link earlier today that opened an unexpectedly malignant looking page that I quickly closed. But since then I’ve been getting the pictured notification (the one at the top) popping up every few minutes. A Malwarebytes (the free version) scan reports nothing suspicious, but clearly something has snuck in somewhere. Any thoughts anybody? I’ve not yet re-started the Mac.

Cheers
Phil

It’s a desktop notification from a website.

In Safari go to the Safari menu > Settings > Websites > Notifications > delete or disallow and websites which you don’t recognise

Chrome has a similar setting, look for Notifications
