I understand that all of these have been discontinued by Apple and replaced by other systems.  My current network is wired from my main Plusnet router to various points around the house where I have either an Airport Express/Airport Extreme/Time Capsule plugged in to produce wi fi. What would replace these and produce wi fi with increased security levels. I should like to retain my wired network around the house.

TIA Diana

There wont be an increase in security, WPA2 is still in use, but I can highly recommend UniFi access points.

I had 4 in my previous house, connected and powered via Ethernet (a single small UniFi PoE switch powered all 4) along with a controller to provide configuration. My ex-wife was able to walk from one end of the house to the other on a Skype call with no drop in signal.

It all depends what budget is available though. Cheaper access points like TP Link never work as well.
