Having upgraded to an M4 Air I'm looking for a monitor to match. Just general work, watching films, web browsing, a bit of light graphics and some gentle iMovie video editing.

This looks OK but I'll admit that I find monitor technology a bit bamboozling.

It's a 24" Samsung - https://amzn.to/4aGQ4X9 - any thoughts?

Thanks!

That’ll do nicely, it’ll display video and charge your laptop via a single USB-C cable

QHD resolution is 4x better than 1080p HD but 4k/5k resolution is better. If you’re working a lot with text, higher resolutions are kinder on your eyes

https://amzn.eu/d/0976GvJ Is 4K and has 65W charging capacity, enough for your Air (not quite enough for a MacBook Pro though)

Thanks Sam.

I'm used to a 21" 1080 BenQ monitor (about 10 years old) so I guess the QHD one will be enough of an improvement.

But this is where it gets confusing for me - the monitor you've linked to has a 3840x2160 resolution but the Air only does 2550 x 1440, so how do they work together?
