Morning all

Sadly all our homepods are really struggling. Siri routinely struggles to connect to the internet to fulfil our requests (time, weather, music).

Trouble is, I don't know if it's a bug in the OS or our WiFi which is hugely unreliable and drops in and out of signal / connection all the time across all our other devices too.

So, anybody else noticed recent decline in HomePod performance?

Meantime, I'm also on the case with VirginMedia (alas, no other fibre provider available on our road).

Thanks

Adam

I only have the one pair of them which are quite old, but I haven’t noticed a problem. For example, I asked about the weather just before I left home on Friday and they instantly gave me a full forecast. I will check again when I get home tomorrow but haven’t  spotted a problem so far.

Andrew.

Sounds more like your wifi if other devices are affected. What’s your wifi setup?

Thanks, both.

It's not so much the WiFi setup (I don't think - router and pods normally working ok) but the terribly unreliable connection with Virgin 'in the street' so to speak.

Thanks

seems as reliably (utterly, utterly) useless at playing music via Siri but ok at getting the weather so I'd look at your internet first (is that better than them failing?)

This is the original ones, not the mini.

Cheers,

Jason

Just updating.... it's been the internet.

Mr Branson has sent his best round and needed to fully rewire from road to house. Things been (a little) better thus far.

Thanks for the helpful comments.
