Problem with Mail

Good morning Smuggers,

I seem to have lost the facility to search for any particular email, whether incoming or outgoing. I don’t know what has happened, but there is now no way that I can type in a key word to aid in the search.

I assume this is a recent upgrade that has messed things up, and would be grateful for any comments or advice.

Is it that the search box has gone, or it’s there but typing a word in has no effect?

If there’s already a magnifying glass icon in the Mail window toolbar, try clicking that and the search box will appear. If not, go to the View menu > Customise Toolbar > If there’s a search icon in the top set of icons, drag it back into the toolbar wherever you’d like it to show.

Thank you for your help, Sam. I have been able to drag the Search box to the toolbar, and that seems to work. There is still no search box apart from that, but I suppose I no longer really need one.
