Phone call problems

Good morning Smuggers

My wife has an iPhone 16 and an iPhone 10. If others call her, she can answer are speak to them on both devices.
If I call her from our landline she can answer and speak to me.

But if I call her from my iPhone 13 Pro I get a recorded message saying they will see if the person is available and then after a pause it says the person is not available (and she is!)

What’s going on?

Does she have your mobile number in your contact card in her Contacts app?

I have this problem with my husband's iPhone - I  can hardly ever talk to him directly from my iPhone - it just goes to voicemail. I assumed it was a setting that he hadn't turned off or on. Perhaps it's something else?
