Afternoon Smuggers.

Hope you’re all keeping well.

I’m suddenly having a snag with Time Machine. It failed to mount on startup (it’s an external USB drive) yesterday so I did a quick Disk Utility check on it. Disk Utility says it’s fine, but Time Machine suddenly seems to think it’s a read only drive. What’s going on? I’ve attached a couple of screenshots for entertainment. Thoughts anybody?

Cheers
Phil

I’ve seen that a few times, only resolution is to erase the drive and run a backup

My experience (and colleagues who've asked me for help) is that TM
drives get gradually and reliably corrupted. Annoying but I'm saying
this to echo what Sam said - they're pretty irretrievable when they
start acting weird.

Cheers,

Jason
