Hi all,
I have a 4G iPad Pro with a monthly contract.
By some weird twist of life I now have my first mobile phone (an iPhone SE) 😳.
My Apple Music library is on both devices, but all the music is downloaded and local on my iPhone whereas only the library exists on the iPad so it has to stream the music to play it.
What I’d like to do is pair my AirPods with the iPhone and, using a personal hotspot, use the iPad’s cellular abilities to provide WiFi to the iPhone. This way (if it worked) I could play my music from my iphone library via Siri using my AirPods. It seems a bit crazy to stream all the music on my iPad so I can control Music via Siri when it’s all downloaded onto the phone but it has no contract!
Does this make any sense and would it work? So far I can get the iPhone to connect to the iPad and Siri will work on the iPhone BUT only via the iPhone’s mic - the AirPods take no notice at all of commands sent to Siri in this configuration.
Cheers for any thoughts / assistance.
Stephen
