Hi peeps,

Had to share this new app from the Icon Factory which I instantly bought, because ... I’ve had the Mac version of this app almost since its launch and it’s just great and they’ve now released an iOS/iPadOS version. It doesn’t show the wealth of information provided by the Mac version but it’s still lovely and informative and clever. Very Icon Factory. 🙂

Thanks, Stephen. Saw this released and admit the tech journal site gives a glowing review.... but would love to hear in a few words from you (perhaps a more regular user than tech blogger?!) about why you recommend?

Hi Adam

Firstly, it depends if you’re the kind of person that likes to know what is going on on your device, if not then pass on by.

I think for me it provides at a glance a lot of things you can’t otherwise see on your device. It can show you the load on the processor in real time of whatever you’re doing so if you’re running low on charge it will help you make informed choices about what apps you run. It does the same for your network use in case you’re near your day limit or just want to go easy on your battery.

It shows you how much storage you’re using which you can get in settings but have to dig for it. It also shows you current RAM use.

Finally it a lovely bit of clever design and flips out of the way with a swipe when not needed.

I hope that helps.

Stephen

Most kind to reply.

Sounds interesting and helpful.

Re. the storage info, does it have DaisyDisk-esque functionality for identifying and binning the unwanted directly?

Adam - No, it doesn’t go to that level of detail at all, it just shows what %age of your storage is used which I find very handy to remind me that I need to reduce mine from 95%!! 😳
