Apple Music on iPod Shuffle?

Hello all

I've downloaded various playlists from Apple Music, and now trying to copy them across to my Shuffle, in iTunes.

There's no error message, but the Shuffle remains empty. If I try to add a ripped CD or purchased download, it's fine.

A Google search implies it can't be done without converting the files as the Shuffle doesn't have WiFi and therefore can't be authenticated (although it is plugged in!?)

Any ideas?

Seems a great shame if it can't be done. The Shuffle is a great little device for running and children on coach trips!
