Gilly,

I haven’t had any significant problems with it. Just make sure any of the non-Apple apps you rely on have the developers 'thumbs up' for the current OS.

Been using it on my M1 iMac for months and it’s fine. 👍

How about anyone still running intel?

I’m still running BigSur on my 2016 MacBook and it’s ok for me. I’m very concerned that if I update to the latest and greatest the system performance will nosedive “requiring” me to update the hardware, and features that sound interesting to me like  Airplay from iPhone to Mac doesn’t call out hardware as old as mine, and I’m honestly still sore about upgrading and loosing 32bit steam games support, for the trade up to get lossless Apple Music...

In a nutshell I would like my updates to give me more features / performance not take them away..

I've just had this warning from Dropbox

Hi Martin,
We’re reaching out with an update about Dropbox on the upcoming macOS 12.3 release. For this release, Dropbox doesn’t have full support for online-only files just yet. We’re actively working on full support, and the beta version will begin rolling out in March 2022.
What you might notice after updating to macOS 12.3
Some apps on your Mac might have trouble opening Dropbox files while they’re online-only. You’ll still be able to open Dropbox files by double-clicking them in Finder.

How we’re addressing this
We’re hard at work on full support for online-only files on macOS 12.3 and beyond.
The beta version will begin rolling out to customers in March 2022. To make sure you can access it, turn on early releases.
