MacBook Pro out of warranty keyboard repair - recommend

Evening all

Just to say that I recently had my MBPro 2019 repaired under 'out of warranty' repair due to the known issues with the butterfly keyboard.

It's a full repair which because of Apple's love of soldered parts, includes keyboard (which is hugely improved not just replaced) touch pad, battery, speakers etc. Normally it'd be £700. All FOC and well worth it.

I mention it as the repair chap said that it's important people do it within a certain window as it's not an eternal offer from Apple, so people have been sitting on the fault and then miss the window. I ignored mine for months as it's a work machine and a hassle, but so pleased I did. I think it's about 3yrs from purchase (of that model) to be valid.

Just letting people know so they don't delay.

Thankfully, the new MBPros are much more reliable.
