Sam, I took the cable from my iPhone and used it to charge the Magic Mouse. I left it on charge for about one hour –– and it is now working perfectly!

I have never forgotten the lesson of spending an entire afternoon trying to help a friend get his printer working again. It had worked the previous morning. We did everything to no avail. As I left, saying 'sorry!' I noticed a trailing plug.
'Did someone vacuum in here yesterday afternoon?'
If I had noticed it coming in it would have been a very quick solution!
Now I always start with 'are you SURE it's plugged in? Check. Yes, CHECK.'
cheers,
Jason

Reminds me of a friend who worked as a TV engineer in the 90s - very capable man as an electronics engineer - he dines out on the stories of home repair visits, whilst admitting 90% of them required him to simply turn the TV on at the wall as the befuddled user had forgotten to check in their panic!
Cheers,
Jason
