July campout to Union Reservoir @ Eldorado NF

Hey all,

We are 6 months away from July's campout (hard to believe when it's snowing outside my window here in Ottawa). I was just on the recreation.gov site looking for reservations for the July 12-14 campout at Sunset campground at Union Reservoir in Eldorado National Forest.

It seems like once again, all of the reservable sites have been booked up for Sunday, July 12.

There are, once again, lots of FF (First-come, First-served) sites in all loops, including the coveted sites in the last loops at the end of the point.

That being said, I think I'm going to leave my site choice to those FF sites, since they're all grouped together in each loop, hopefully we'll be able to cobble together a few sites for those that attend.

Luckily, I’ve dodged a bullet there, as I’ve been in Vancouver, BC for the past week or so, where it’s been quite balmy, 40° by Canadian January standards!

My folks appreciate the support though!
