Hi,

I am looking at purchasing the NEMA17 for my Prusa MK3 clone, I am using Marlin 2 on a SKR 1.4 and it is running great. Just wondered can these maintain the sensorless homing like I have now with my TMC2209? If so how would this be enabled if it can? Do I need to do anything within Marlin or simply confgure something on the drivers as the documentation didn't make me convinced it could do it.

Thanks

The smart steppers can do sensorless homing, however the Marlin firmware will need to be modified to do it which has not been done.  Therefore it will not work out of the box.

If the Smart Stepper has an error pin that trips when there is an offset detected, then you might be able to wire this to the endstop input for a fairly rudimentary solution.
