You are right! I no longer use the soundmodem, except for telemetry from some satellites that Skyroof won't decode. But for SSTV, I'm now using ONLY the Skyroof!!

Here is an example of a telemetry reception that Skyroof does not decode. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bmNcfqxO5SQ This is a new satellite just launched on 07 July, 2026, and pass over my area just minutes ago. Skyroof says "Format Not Supported". So that is why I still use some of the UZ7HO soundmodems! It is a bit more trouble to use them, so I hope Skyroof will be able to receive and decode telemetry from almost any sat!!
Oh! I was not aware of that gear button....had not used it before. I actually thought it was automatic. On July 14, it decoded satellite Kostka automatically. Both of those sats were launched the same day and appear to use the same framing, etc, so I just thought the satellite CloudCT-Precursor would also decode automatically! That's what I get for thinking when I'm not used to it, hehehehe!!!!
