IC9700 Errors?

Hi There I have set up skyroof as per instructions and renamed the rigctld shortcut to match the rig, port and speed of the radio. Settings set up in Skyroof as per instructions but my rx and tx CAt lights are both red and no radio control.

And my Shortcut is:

Any Ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Hi Gary,

Please send me the SkyRoof log file, and the rigctld.exe log from its console window. Add the -vvvvv option to the rigctld command line to make it log all details. You can also try my skycatd.exe program, a drop-in replacement for rigctld, and also send me the log.

Attention everyone: when you report a problem with any software, please include all details right away. SkyRoof log is a must, Settings.json in the Data Folder may also help, and if the problem is related to CAT, please also send me the logs from skycatd.exe or rigctld.exe. In both cases include -vvvvv on the command line to enable detailed logging. In skycatd.exe add -f to get the log in a file.

Managed to get it working it appears using VSPE on my PC to split my ports for HRD was causing the issue, removed the split and replaced with original COM port and all is good! Thanks for the swift reply, much appreciated.

I am glad that the problem is solved. Anyway, please try skycatd.exe, it may work faster and track the frequencies more accurately.

Also, you can set CAT Control / Tuning Step in SkyRoof setting to 1 Hz for even better accuracy since IC-9700, unlike some other radios, does not round the frequencies to 10 Hz.
