URGENT: Index missing

I stupidly decided to look at an earlier version of the index I was working on while still in the index window, but then "lost" my current one. I hadn't backed up 3 hours' work, but I never hit delete. I tried to "restore" my index, but of course, it was the one I saved last night, not the one I just spent three hours on. Is there anywhere else I can look for it? Any suggestions? I want to cry

Fortunately, I have automatic backups on! I just had to find where it was and only lost minutes of work instead of hours!
