Hi, Everyone.

Does anyone know why my new ergonomic keyboard won't allow my mouse to double click in SKY's cells? The cells stay highlighted in blue. I have to press F2 to get the cursor to appear, then navigate to the word I want to change.

On the ergonomic keyboard, I changed the battery. I reinserted the keyboard USB into my laptop. I'm able to double click on words in Word documents and pdfs with this keyboard, so the problem is unique to SKY. It won't permit my mouse to double click in cells in the most recent index I completed before getting the new keyboard, either, so it's not a new file problem.

With my former keyboard, I am able to double click in cells to change to the cursor, so it's not the recent Windows updates I've run.

I am on a Dell Inspiron laptop, Windows 11, logi wireless mouse, both my old keyboard and the ergonomic one are logi, SKY 8.

I am really disappointed because the ergonomic keyboard has made a big difference for the tendonitis in my left wrist. Not only are the angles more comfortable, but the keys are slightly closer together, and there's also a padded wrist rest.

Any advice on getting the ergonomic keyboard fully functional would be much appreciated.

Thank you,

Mary

Problem solved! I put new batteries in the keyboard. Facepalm.

The keyboard is a logi K860. The split structure took a little getting used to, but it's worth it. I have the legs extended to the tallest setting, 7 degrees. It can also be set to 4 degrees.

All the best,

Mary

Though one does wonder why, if it was a keyboard issue, the mouse wasn't functioning properly and why it was only happening (or not happening) in SKY.

I now have three plug-in keyboards that finally took care of wireless ones not functioning (and causing various seemingly unrelated problems).
I was able to get them for $25.00 each from a business in Bowling Green, KY, that is recycling electronic waste and had parts of various multi-user
systems that had been replaced by larger businesses. One of them almost fits in my computer case! These are also better because wired devices
do not emit as much electromagnetic frequency radiation as wireless. I was interested to see the recommendation for using wired access to the
virtual ASI conference even though I realize that was to ensure accessibility rather than limiting EMF.
