Upcoming release of version 2.0

After more than a year of work, we now have a bumper release of a new version. Please take a look at the release notes at https://sizespectrum.org/mizer/dev/news/index.html

I know that this is not a good time because everyone is preoccupied with the virus, but when you do get a chance to play with the new version of mizer, please feed back all your experiences to us. The best place to put your feedback is on the issue tracker at https://github.com/sizespectrum/mizer/issues, but alternatively you can also just send an email to me, gustav...@gmail.com.

Not all new features have made it into this release, because they could benefit from more polishing and community feedback. These features are now in the new project "mizerExperimental" at https://sizespectrum.org/mizerExperimental/. This is the place where I hope many of you will initially contribute some of you mizer tools, like new plots, summary functions or setup functions.

Some of you will have made modifications to the previous version of mizer to implement features you needed in your research. The new version has been designed in such a way that you can implement your features as mizer extensions, without having to modify mizer code. That will make it easier for you in the future to combine your code with new developments in mizer. I will be happy to help you make your features work with mizer version 2.0. Just drop me an email at gustav...@gmail.com

You can also start contributing mizer models to the new repository of "mizerExamples" at https://sizespectrum.org/mizerExamples/.

I will submit the new version of mizer to CRAN later today.
