sipxecs 14.10, Polycom phones (VVX 410, VVX 300, IP 335), Flowroute ITSP.
With default Long Distance dial plan, when selecting a call from the received or missed calls list on the phone and selecting 'dial', the phone rings fast busy and disconnects.  Dialing an outside number manually works correctly, using 10 or 11 digits.
Polycoms display received numbers as '+19085551212'
Any thoughts on a fix?

Create a custom dial plan entry that looks for + followed by 11 digits.

Make the resulting call be 'matched suffix' but nothing prepended.

No gateway.

This will strip the + and then pass the call back through the dial plan again.

Additionally, you can have the carrier strip the + on delivery.

I think you can literally do it just like he said.  Create a new dial plan, "custom" type, and just put in exactly what he said.  I've attached a screenshot.  Someone should probably put this on the wiki as I think it was asked about a month ago.  Not sure if we need special permission to do that now though...

Thanks!  That did it!  I was thinking of something totally different and didn't think it would be that easy.  Making it part of documentation or even a FAQ would help tremendously- I googled extensively before asking and wasn't able to figure it out.
I also have a support request in to Flowroute per Todd Hodgen's suggestion and will update with their reply.

I made the removal of the + from caller ID to five.voicepulse.com and the created an option in configurations to add or remove it.  Seems like a nice option.

Made the request to Flowroute:

Christine M. Flowroute

Hello Chris,

We send the calls in E.164 Typically you would be able to remove this on the PBX’s end. What type of PBX system are you currently using?

Best,

Christine M.

Caller ID infromation delivered by your service appears to have a leading '+' which breaks redial capabilities of my system. Is there anyway for you to strip this leading '+' from caller ID info?
Example- call from (808) 555-1212 appears as '+18085551212'. My PBX does not accept numbers with non-numeric values.

you can fix this yourself in 2 minutes by setting up a dialplan that strips the "+". chasing flowroute is pointelss (IMO).
