I’ve restored a 4.4 instance to 15.10. I’ve had to enable several services but so far looks okay.

My problem now is I’ve provisioned both Jitsi and Bria phones for a user with instant messaging enabled. Bria 4.2 has loaded the user but there is no “my buddy”. Jitsi signs into SIP account okay but XMPP account won’t accept the password. I’ve changed the password several times,  tried creating a brand new user, Jitsi won’t take an XMPP account password manually or provisioned. Where to start looking?

Thanks

Yes, Bria’s XMPP account is connected and Pidgin XMPP is connected. Neither show my buddy as well.

Please collect logs from jitsi client and from sipxcom : /opt/openfire/logs/sipxopenfire.log and /var/log/sipxpbx/sipxconfig.log and attach them

Thanks,
Mircea

There is a lot of user information in those logs and rather not attach them in public. Can I send them to you directly?

Did you get the logs? Not sure if the attachment made it.

First please check rpm versions and verify if they correspond to 15.10 version that you are running:

rpm -qa |grep openfire

Jitsi reports that the user is not authorized, meaning that the password is wrong:

14:35:46.542 SEVERE: [66] impl.protocol.jabber.ProtocolProviderServiceJabberImpl.connectUsingSRVRecords().888 Error connecting to uc.eiisolutions.net./192.168.38.19:5222 for domain:eiisolutions.net serviceName:eiisolutions.net

Can you please try to manually add the XMPP user in your jitsi client (not through provisioning) and see if you can login
