hello all,

I need a better guide on what I am doing wrongly. I followed this instruction http://wiki.sipxcom.org/display/sipXcom/Installing+on+Fedora+and+CentOS in installing sipxcom 15.12 on my VPS server and after successful installation. I discovered the service sipxecs status return nothing, mongodb never start and stay stable, JVM take more time to load and at time too many complaints. I tried to access the https://myserver/sipxconfig/app but it returned error 503.

Can someone recommend any better documentation that can lead me to a successful installation and testing of the sipxcom?
I have a dual core server with 2GB RAM and 150GB drive. The server is just by the way for functionality test.

I need help.. I have searched the internet for the last two weeks without success.

Regards

After install did you run sipexcs-setup for initial configuration?

You ran: *yum install sipxcom*, not yum install sipxecs?

Are you certain that after install, when you ran sipxecs-setup, you
checked network settings, dns, etc? If not, run setup again and be
sure to check everything is correct - don't skip that stuff.

What operating system did you install on?

Tail/cat/more/less /var/log/sipxpbx/sipxconfig.log and see what errors
are in there.

Which Java did you install? Hopefully java-1.7.0-openjdk

yum list installed | grep java

iirc if you installed IBM's or Sun's Java, you'll have problems.

Goke,
Share with us what commands you performed when you tried to install "15.12". How did you installed centos 6.x minimal?
Thanks!

Hi Mihai,

I actually installed 16.02 unstable and got the page up.
I followed the wiki http://wiki.sipxcom.org/display/sipXcom/Installing+on+Fedora+and+CentOS and the following were the command used.
After the minimal install of centos 6 is completed.

yum remove httpd*
vim /etc/sysctl.conf #append fs.file-max = 65536
vim /etc/security/limits.conf
append the following:
*          soft     nproc          65535
*          hard     nproc          65535
*          soft     nofile         65535
*          hard     nofile         65535

 wget -P /etc/yum.repos.d http://download.sipxcom.org/pub/16.02-unstable/sipxecs-16.02.0-centos.repo
 yum install sipxcom
yum install java*1.7.*
sipxecs-setup
I noticed that the mongod 2.6.7 did not have a db directory created based on what I read from the log. than I run
mkdir /data  or /extra
mkdir /data/db   or /extra/db
data/db or extra/db directory
then I manually run
mongod -v & # I sent the command to the background.

Again. on the apache. SSLProxyEngine was not enabled I did that.

Currently I am looking for a way to test ... all my linphone, zoiper are yet to get registered.

Regards
