MRST and manipulation of geogrid.GRDECL file

Hi,

I'm new to MATLAB, but I have a geological model in GRDECL format, and I need to import this into Schlumberger Petrel software. Anyone got any quick tips for reading this in and converting it to for example, RESCUE format?

I'm not sure I understand exactly what you want to achieve.  I thought Petrel was able to read .GRDECL files directly without going through RESCUE or some other format.  Is that not the case?

 

That said, MRST can read many .GRDECL files, but we do not have a pre-packaged way to output RESQUE or RESQML.

Regarding the question, I'm not sure if I have anything to add to Bård's question. MRST reads and writes GRDECL files but not RESQUE or RESQML at the moment. However, Petrel should read GRDECL files just fine since these files usually are created by Petrel in the first place.
