Change basemap on exhibit

Is it possible to change the basemap from Google to any other map? Are there any options?

No, Exhibit 3 only supports Google Maps

I wish I could add the option for users to use any basemap they want.

It's a pity such a useful and open source application to remain limited without options to enhance it's usability and functionality.

Well you can do all the Google Maps API lets you to configure [1].
