Good morning, SG kapamilya,

Thanks, Eloisa, for the lumpia update. I believe there was some veggie leftovers that our kapamilya consumed so I’m ambivalent about it. Others thoughts?

For an update:

First off, I want to share the great news that Josie Morales is joining me and Jen in co-leading our SG celeration this year. Welcome, Josie, and thanks for taking on this role!!!

Nicole texted me and Jen M is also aware of this: budget for SG :

$500 from southeast campus (St. T’s)
$500 from northwest campus (St. J’s)

and there’s about $260 something left over from previous fundraising at St. T’s.

Discussions are on-going re: parol workshop at St. J’s and/or St. T’s (or both) this year - awating updates.

There was an informal meeting with Fr. Phil, SJ last Sunday after the 11 am mass. Apologies that I did not send a general SG email - I did not mean to exclude folx and happy to talk to you about it if you are interested.

Yes, he is now presiding ISO Fr. Mike d/t the Fr. Chris situ in our new parish family. Let’s all continue to pray for Fr. Chris and our parish family as we transition into this ’newer’ phase of forming a new parish family.

I believe the liturgical roles are all accounted for:
waiting for an update for Tagalog reader with Roger R as back-up (hoping for a Fil-Am parishioner from St. J’s)

Adaline is our first reader

Linnea will livestream our litrugical celebration

Orlando, Dave and BJ: any updates on music ministry?

Josie M and BJ: any updates on marketing? Lucelia (Nicole’s dau) did a very good job of posting on social media the recent Sound of Music Sing-a-long. Possibly involve her for social media outreach?

We are looking for someone to represent our parish family at the SG Commissioning on SAT, 12/14 at 11 AM. Jen M and I are not available that day.

This is what I’ve got for now. Please feel free to chime in for things I probably missed - mea culpa!!!

As always, thanks for all that YOU do!!!

Hope you are all well in the bomb cyclones aftermath!

All the best in this season of Thanksgiving!!!

Nagmamahal,

💝 Mercy

Mercy, just needing to know how many Lumpia do we need? 200? Should we get more of the meat Lumpia than the veggie? Also, Carmen says she can do the frying like last year. I also let her know that we can pay her what she would normally charge.

Also, have not heard from Kalahi about performing for our salo salo. We’ll try another group.

The young person, Kirk Acuna, who I hoped with be able to do the second reading may not be able to do it, so Roger will be back up. I just need to hear from him this Friday.

That’s all I have for now.

The image below is wonderful! Thank you, Nicole.

Linnea may not be available to livestream SG as she has her dance studio winter showcase that day. Waiting for the schedule when she will perform.

Hello SG Family,

Kelly and I returned from our 6-week trip to the Philippines last Wednesday. We’re still trying to shake our jet lag off… then the big windstorm happened. We’re on Day 2 without power, and the estimated restoration time is Saturday, the 23rd. I know - welcome home, right?

It’s great to be home, I think 🤔 When the election news broke in the Philippines, we were shocked and devastated. We did not sleep well the next few nights. We felt lost and wondered, where do we go from here? We even joked about maybe staying there for 4 more years😀 But, despite the disappointing election  outcome, we are happy to be home with our Seattle family and our St T and St Joes family.  We know we can lean on and pull strength from each other moving forward.

On a happier note, El Nido was one of the highlights of our trip. We stayed at Seda Lío Beach Hotel, minutes from El Nido airport. We also got to enjoy a lot of lansones and mangosteen in Laguna!

Anyway, I’m here to help Mercy and Jen in any way I can, and learn as much as I can along the way. I know we have a very capable and veteran SG co-leader in Jen. So Jen, I’m following your lead 😀

Thanks for the update Mercy. Is there a meeting scheduled sometime to go over what still needs to be planned/done?

* I have the tablecloths from last year.
* If we still need someone to do the livestream, our son Daniel said he’ll do it. The question is, who can show him how to do it? I mean, he is somewhat of a techie😊
* I will look for the bulletin blurb that we used last year and share it.
* I will check with Kelly to see if we can attend the parol commissioning and get back to you.

Warm Regards,

Josie

Mercy, Circling back to the discussion about the Lumpia.  Should we just have all mixed vegetables and beef/chicken Lumpia?

Hello, SG Family!
Just got word from Caprice, our St. Jo communications and scheduling administrator, that Dec. 8 between the post-9am and pre-11am mass (10am-11am) is a GO at the Social Hall for our Kids' Parulan (Parol-making)...we can just provide them the simple paper-based parols and we can have our St. T folks come...but, we can continue at St. T for the post 11am mass where the pre-made stick parols are ready to be worked on...
All we need to do now is draft the announcement to give Caprice and our St. T bulletins...
Looking forward to your thoughts and anything else that we need to put in place.
Salamat ulit! (Thanks again!)
Blessings!
Roger

Good evening, SG kapamilya,

First off many thanks for all your work on the parol workshop (I heard it was well attended!) and the SG program.

Just to recap for our liturgical celebration:

Greeters: are the assigned folks for the 11 am mass doing it OR did we assign folx from the SG fam?

Parol procession leads: Jen M and Linnea

Priest presider: Fr. Phil Burroughs, S.J.
Lay presider: Mercy MandacLazo

1st reader: Adeline Okada
Psalmist: choir member
2nd reader: Roger Rigor (Tagalog version)

Gift bearers: choose a family on Sunday??? Or was someone already assigned?

Eucharistic ministers: Fr. Phil
Mercy
Plus 2 from St. Joe’s family??? Or do we have names???

Vases/Containers for the parols?

For our salu-salo:

Jen, BJ and Linnea will pick up food from Fou Lee

Rice cookers?

Punch juice?

Desserts?

Tablecloths and centerpieces?

Sound system in the social hall for our Kundiman group?

Are we doing karaoke? Or just live sing-a-long?

And maybe this was already discussed last Sunday so please remind me.

I’m  sure I’m forgetting somethings so please chime in.

Thank you again for all that YOU do! Maraming salaam po!

Blessings,

💝 Mercy

Hi, Mercy!
The Cawaling Sisters from St, Joe will help as Eucharistic ministers.
The kundiman duet will bring their amps and set up around 10am and will attend mass…

Hi Mercy,

I think Jen M, Gloria, and I have the salusalo part covered:

- Rice cookers
- Punch juice
- Desserts
- Tablecloths and centerpieces.

We are going to be there at 10:00am to set up.

Josie and Kelly
