Dear members of SIGTURK,

Happy new year. We thank you for joining our efforts for promoting computational linguistics in Turkic languages. Since our foundation in 2022, we have been working on creating a base structure for work and communication management across our officers and members. We hope to continue our work in 2023 to continue to extend and help our community in reaching their research goals, have the chance to meet new collaborators, and hopefully organize new social events, workshops, training and research activities.

We track our progress using our public github repository, open to all of your suggestions, comments and proposals. Please feel free to take a look, and reach out when you find an interesting opportunity to be involved. These issues are often resolved offline or discussed during our online meetings. Our community thrives to promote diversity and inclusion, and we welcome everyone who is interested in our activities.

I am happy to invite everyone to join our meeting on January 30th, using the jitsi link, to meet and stay in touch with SIGTURK.

Thank you very much and hope to be in touch with you soon,

SIGTURK President
