Dear all,

Ramadan Karim

We are pleased to share with you a dataset of 12,500 Islamic inheritance problems.

This dataset is designed to support step-by-step problem solving. Each case is solved through a sequence of clear reasoning steps, and each step is accompanied by explicit justifications. This makes the dataset especially useful for training, and evaluating LLMs on Islamic inheritance reasoning.

The goal is to facilitate end-to-end learning from natural language scenarios by providing not only the final answer, but also a detailed and pedagogical explanation of how the solution is reached.

The dataset is available here:
https://gitlab.com/islamgpt1/qias_shared_task_2026

The paper:
https://arxiv.org/pdf/2603.07539

We hope this resource will be useful for your research.

Best regards,
Abdessalam Bouchekif

Dear Abdessalam

Although I didn’t have the right time to get involved this year in QIAS-2026, it seems like you are making a very good progress in this new approach.
Well done for all in the team!

All the best,
Osama Zaki
