Hello Shrouded Radiance,
First, I want to thank everybody who came out for pizza in the park, it was a fairly nice weather day with excellent company! I want to distill down here, for the folks who wanted to join but couldn't in the end, the discussion and our likely next steps as a LARP group.
1) Folks are interested in playing in a LARP again! There are obvious concerns about our current numbers, and making sure the game is fun and LARP appropriate (as opposed to table-top, for instance) for the numbers we likely have. Further discussion of how to expand them will be described below, but there was a general acknowledgement that we need to build up from a fun and functional game.
2) People are super positive and willing to make a character that is fun for whatever game we choose to play! We've all been stuck across the wide chasm of the internet for a while now, and folks just want to get back together. Different people talked about not only what they want to play in, but what games they would be willing to run. Multiple people did express a desire to further develop the stories of the characters they had most recently made, all things being equal.
3) Given our need to restart and rebuild, and people's comfort with their existing characters in the existing Anarch setting (even though that setting will likely need adjusting to suit the game as it will be, rather than as it would have been), we are hoping to restart live games as soon as July 31st, to the extent that player availability and public health considerations permit. As DST I am appointing Charles Lloyd interim VST for the next couple months, and will be supporting him with narration aide and such as needed. Expect an email in the next couple weeks with the game premise and other juicy details!
To that end, we need to know a couple things from the Domain:
Can people make a game on Saturday, June 31st?
Is anyone willing to host a game on that day or otherwise help arrange a site?
4) Recruitment is a self-perpetuating struggle, where below a critical mass of players, interested folks we might recruit don't sense a fun dynamic experience, and don't get hooked. We discussed recruiting, particularly at some upcoming conventions, as well as reaching out to some groups of folks who have been interested in the past. For the conventions aspect, we discussed staffing and running a game with interested domain members designed for the convention environment. We should also start figuring out what kind of regular schedule would work beyond the next month or two, to maximize the convenience for current members and ease communication to prospective ones.
Feel free to reply to this thread to discuss general matters (or use the Discord), and game night availability, and please reach out to myself and/or Charles <

Thanks!
