[Resolved] Service Outage

ShinyApps Users,

This morning's outage that affected application loading and deploying/terminating of applications has been resolved. We have corrected the problem so things should be back to normal. Please report any other issues that you see.

Thanks for the update.  I have an app that is still on spark at: http://spark.rstudio.com/johnpaul/Water/ 

Yesterday at around the same time that shinyapps.io went down it stated giving me this message:

The application failed to start.

The application exited during initialization.

Error in library(lattice) : there is no package called ‘lattice’ Calls: runApp ... eval -> source -> withVisible -> eval -> eval -> library Execution halted

 The app has worked fine for many months and has had not recent updates - could this be a related issue?

John,

spark and ShinyApps are unrelated services, so this issue is not related. FWIW, spark is deprecated server that will be shutdown in the future. Is there a reason you could not move your application to ShinyApps?

I plan on moving the app off of spark, but I am in the process of updating it to R 3.1 - it is currently still in R 2.14, and I am also taking the time to do some other updating.

Hi, not sure if this is related, but I'm having problems of a "404 page not available" nature. Deployed my VHLSS app no problem, it worked for a minute or so, then stopped. I tried redeploying, terminating and redeploying, but to no avail.. Anything else I should try?

Hi Tareef, thanks for your quick reply!

I just got home and checked it again and it seems to be working fine now. 

For the record it is https://maja.shinyapps.io/VHLSS/.

Thing is, I am planning on using it in a presentation and am a bit worried the same thing might happen again? So it would be nice to know what happened, especially if it was something I did ;) (I had tried the showLogs() function after and saw an entry "Execution halted" - unfortunately I didn't save the log...)

Great job by the way, this is an amazing platform you're running!
