This may have been mentioned before.

What's the array size limit in the standard version on the number of raingauges? I wish to use CEH-GEAR rainfall data (which comes on a 1km x 1km) grid as the input. So each "raingauge" will cover 4 squares if my grid resolution is 500m x 500m, and so on.

I think the setup is similar to the Aire example that is supplied with the model, i.e. a csv file with one column for each "raingauge", that is the example that I have looked at copying.

Thanks,
Russell

Hi Russell,

In the standard version the maximum number of raingauges is set up to be 200. If you need more I can give you a different version of the executable which can take up to 4000 (or I can sort you out another version if you need even more).

You are correct about the format being similar to the Aire example.

Steve

Hi Steve,
I think I need a few more than 200 but 4000 is plenty, could you send me a Dropbox link or similar to the larger executable please? Also, I'm looking at a catchment in western Ireland with some karstic limestone so I may need more points in the vsd vertical column (I think it is the variable "LL"?) than the default, enough say to model 100m of aquifer + 2m drift + 1m of soil.

Thanks for your help.
Russell

Hi Russell,

Here is the Dropbox link to the updated version:

It is setup for up to 4000 rainfall stations and 100 cells in the vertical (LLEE=100).

I have changed the compiler so it is now version 4.4.6. To use the standard version just click on the executable as before. If you do use the EasySetup you will need to rename the executable to sv4.4.5x64.exe.

I have not tested it, so if there are any problems then let me know.

Regards,
Steve
