The agenda says the meeting will be at a physical location (up at the top), but none is listed. Is that a carry-over line from last month?

By the way, I’m hearing that some committees are meeting at City Hall as late as 6:00 pm now. Not 7:00 pm, though, I don’t know why.

The physical location blooper is my fault and was leftover from last month's meeting. Given the lack of a proper zoom capability at City Hall, I would shy away from doing mtgs there until that is improved. Also, 6pm doesn't work for me generally as I work till that time daily. Tonight's meeting will be virtual rather than physical, though it is exciting to see the progress that has been made on the barn.

Since Trails is at the barn and Conservation will be from my house, I might be a little late.

Alderman - Lauren Pawlowski, a Fellow with the Naugatuck Valley Council of Government this summer, made a presentation this evening to the Conservation Commission regarding the Sustainable CT program.  While the attachments she emailed in this conversation thread illustrate what the Sustainable Ct program involves, here is a timed-link to the YouTube recording of our Conservation Commission meeting from tonight at the point where she began her presentation.

Lauren will be requesting via the Mayor's office, for you as the legislative authority to consider this opportunity for the City of Shelton to participate in, which the Conservation  Commission endorses.  Thank-you in advance for your consideration.

Lauren - My emailed agendas go to a larger recipient group than may have interest in this continued subject matter.  I have filtered the recipient list to be the Alderman, Clerk for the Board of Alderman, Mayor's Administrative Secretary and Administrative Assistant.  The full Conservation Commission uses a Google-Group messaging service, and as an authenticated member sending to our forwarding email address, it will keep them informed and make this email reply immediately publicly viewable as required by FOI regs.  You however would not be able to send emails to that address as it is only available for effect by authenticated members of the Group.  THANKS for your inspiration tonight.  All the best - TomH

Hi all,

Thank you for taking the time to listen to my presentation about Sustainable CT (SCT) and their municipal certification program! Feel free to review the YouTube recording of the meeting in case you missed anything, and I have attached the presentation slides to this email. Please take a look at the Sustainable CT website here to read their mission, browse through the actions list, and see what resources they offer. I will call the mayor’s office tomorrow and hopefully meet with him virtually or in-person very soon to discuss the program. The first step is to assemble a sustainability team and pass a town resolution – I have attached a sample resolution to this email, along with the spreadsheet of all the actions and my notes on what Shelton has already done that could potentially earn points. Feel free to look through, I used information from the POCD and town website and off the top of my head.

It would be great to add Shelton to the list of registered towns and get started on pursuing Bronze certification for the spring. I look forward to working with you and helping you any way I can!

Thank you again for allowing me to present. If you have any questions about Sustainable CT, feel free to email me anytime.

Best,

Lauren Pawlowski
