David Walker

Long time SFR members will know David Walker, RUSA #6130. Before I get into details I want to hasten to say that David is still with us. However, earlier this week David was hit by a car and the injuries were both many and serious. There will be a long recovery period as a result. David had not been riding nearly as many brevets in recent years but continued to support SFR by volunteering. SFR means a lot to David. I am hoping you will all join me in wishing a full recovery for him.

A speedy recovery and super happy you are still with us.

Caught up on 1.5 weeks of SJ Mercury papers yesterday and there were two bicycle fatalities reported in SJ.  Was hoping I didn’t know any of them.

Wishing for the best possible outcome. 

If you have any questions about heap issues and recovery; I have had 2 heap surgeries.  One of the pelvis and one of the head of the Femur. 

We are all pulling for you.

Very sad news.  A true gentleman and kindred spirit.  David and I split a hotel room at Loudeac for the 2011 edition PBP. I always enjoyed riding with David during brevets throughout the years. Wishing David a successful recovery.
