Re-sharing this to SFR since I think Ed has helped out several of our members...

“Ed Litton was in a terrible cycling accident on December 2nd in Point Richmond, near his workshop. He suffered a serious spinal cord injury. He was taken to Marin General Hospital, the nearest trauma center, and rushed to surgery. Currently, he doesn’t have any feeling from his mid-chest down. He is awake and able to move his arms but only time will tell of any long-term spinal cord damage.”

Thanks!

Jim and all,

Ed Litton died in Oakland early this week after a two-week struggle against his serious injuries.
Although the GoFundMe was initially paused after his death, it is now receiving donations again.
May Ed rest in peace and ride forever.

Thanks for posting Jon,

I’m very sad to learn of the tragic loss. For those that didn’t know him, Ed was a wonderful person, talented frame builder, extraordinary bike painter and restorer of classics vintage bikes and a real nice guy who loved to ride bikes.

Please let us know if there are services planned.

Eric
