Checking In on SFF18 Fleet

Hello SF F18 Sailors,

I wanted to check in to make sure everyone is safe and healthy. My wife, two sons and I have been working from home since 3/13 and we're all healthy so far. Sailing may be the farthest from your minds depending on your situation, but here's an update: 

Elvstrom-Zellerbach and ABYC Memorial Day Regatta have been cancelled and Delta Ditch is postponed. So far, F18 North Americans are still unchanged from the last week in Sept. I'll keep everyone informed if I hear anything further. When we get out from under this thing, I think the best thing would be a group sail.

The MBYC F18 sailors are doing Thursday and Sunday race sessions on Virtual Regatta. If you haven't checked this out, download the app and play around:

You can sail F18's and a lot of other boats. I've jumped into a bunch of Nacra 17 races, sailing against sailors from around the world. If you're interested in joining the MBYC races or if you want to set up SF F18 sessions, let me know.

Hi Peter,

Thanks for the note. Me and the family are doing well. I've still been going to work boiling oil and fueling the Californian dream (making gasoline and diesel). I'll give the virtual sailing a go - see you on the line!

Shawn Hwang from F18 Protective Services made a wellfare check on my C2 in Sausalito yesterday and pronounced it safe. Thanks Shawn!
