Hey All, 
Is anyone planning to race the Totally Dinghy Regatra this Sat-Sun (one or both days ?) ?   Single handed sailing in the Covid  era under the regatta management of RYC is about as good as it can get.

The Regatta PRO, Robin Van Vliet , is a progressive and true champion of One-Design, dighhy racing, she recruits top notch RC crew  and runs great regattas.   RYC is striving to organize safe  regattas and the Totally Dinghy is to be a test run for the Dinghy midwinters.

At this point there are not  enough sign ups to run the event. Robin will make the final decision this Thurs am.


I'd appreciate your reply if you plan to sail or IF NOT.    If not please indicate why.  (Ie  competing events, not feeling comfortable/safe, not being able to use the Club, unsure about the wind conditions ) Robin and the Club are  truly interested in the sailors concerns and preferences as it helps plan future events. 

BTW-  Reg is open to non members, and they have a refund policy if you decide not to sail due to wind conditions.

Hey Everyone, really appreciate your prompt responses and understand that important concerns affect our desire to race Bytes this weekend: air quality, weather/wind conditions, logistics,conflicting events.  We'll hear from Robin tomorrow if the regatta is a no go ,  or a Go  Go.  

Stay tuned for upcoming sept-oct weekend tune up sails/clinics with RyC Dan....

"Between COVID19 concerns and restrictions, extremely poor air quality, some folks with fires near family homes, and especially with challenges for non-members to not be able to launch at the Club … we just don’t have the participation to warrant holding this event.
Thank you for registering. You will be receiving a refund of any fees paid."
