Advance planning here: I'd like to take my 11-year-old mountain biking, probably at China Camp, on May 16 or 17. We finally have a weekend with no soccer/baseball/etc games and my other child, who's less excited about bicycling, will be away on a camping trip. Would anyone with a similar-age kid like to join us? If all goes according to plan (ie, I succeed in having a trailer hitch installed, and then finding a 4-bike rack that mounts in it), we can take 4 more people and bikes (4 bikes on the rack, 2 in the car with a rear seat removed - I bought an electric minivan). We'd do a slow 8-10 mile loop, less than 1000 feet of climbing, nothing too technical; doesn't require a mountain bike, a gravel bike would be fine.

Not a +1, but just a reminder that Sunday (the 17th) is the Bay to Breakers, so you might want to go on the 16th, for ease of getting across town. Though I guess 19th Ave will still be usable!
