Hey guys! I am selling my 2” Televue Big Barlow and a Stellarvue 2” diagonal. Both are in perfect condition. I am letting these go for less than half what they cost new. I live in Arizona now, so I will have to ship these. However, I will cover the cost of shipping. If any of you are interested in either one or both, please let me know. 😁

Hi all, 

I want to warn you against dealing with this person (ryansfab...@gmail.com). I paid for the big barlow on Jan 7th and he just stopped responding after payment (despite my many attempts to reach out to him).

I'm disappointed (and still a bit shocked) by this behavior since I least expected it within the astro-community and in TAC...

A good practice for online dealings on forums is to pay the small premium of using the PayPal “pay for goods or services” feature. A forum that I’m part of has the constant reminder “Do not use Zelle to pay anyone here”. I have bought things on said forum with very good success, and using PayPal.

I'm dismayed to hear this from several angles. Very sorry, Vignesh, that you got burned.

From a whole other angle, Ryan and I have gotten to be friends over years, both in and out of observing. I have a couple of numbers for him, will see what I can find out.

Do not have a memory of one TACo stealing from another. This is a big deal.

Since I see others posting on this I'll add a bit.  There is another person currently on TAC who was similarly burned, very recently.  And I in fact many years ago was "burned" by a TACo, but not in a purchase.  Someone attempted to steal one of my telescopes (they were in possession of it), and I had to threaten law enforcement involvement to have it returned. Same person who did that to me also convinced a TACo friend to loan him several thousand dollars, stolen.  That instance was to TACos you knew very well too Jamie - both were very well known on TAC (and are no longer here).  I just never said anything to anyone about it.

Be careful.  Do transactions in person.

I’m sorry to hear this Vignesh. I actually purchased from Ryan back in Late September - Early October 2025 off a listing posted on this group. Shipping took 2 days from Arizona and I got the items. It was a TeleVue Radian 12mm and a TeleVue 55mm plossl. Interestingly the 2inch BIG Barlow was one of the listed items back then.

The person behind the account described themselves as a previous FPOA member before moving to Arizona and was pretty good about communicating via text. I paid via Zelle cause I thought they were a TACo based on the conversation. It’s very disappointing to hear the account either got compromised or I somehow got lucky with how they were back then.
