Artemis ll vires of the crescent earth over the lunar limb are stunning.

Makes me think of Sagan's Pale Blue Dot and the state of our home.  If you don't know it, BP sez check it out.

What a beautiful place we share.

The Earth is doing great! It's the people who are  -----

It's still perfect from space. Only a few degree tilt we ice age one way and roast the other.

Can't tell me it's not rare or a total miracle...

That's right Ted.  It is miraculous.

We amateur astronomers especially, come alive in the shadows searching the light.  Occasionally, we make life long connections doing so.

I hope everyone gets observing NM, and peers out into Earth's shadow.  It is an unfathomable miracle.

Big thumbs up a Carlin.

Have cosmic rays been addressed?

Astronauts on lunar missions were seeing flashes in their vision. It turned out it was cosmic rays piercing their bodies.

Cherenkov radiation produced in the eyeballs by cosmic rays. I doubt they can be “addressed”, the energy levels of primary cosmic rays can be so high that shielding them is basically impossible.

I have a theory that enough water between space and the body can slow or stop rays. Don't know how many feet of water it would take. Basically a swimming pool between the two. At 8 lbs a gallon pricey to get in to space.

But to collect on the moon...
