OK, a really easy one: What DSO would be most likely to be involved in

Not "it" but rather "they"... yes, dark nebula...

That's a tough one Paul.  I can only guess, the Cocoon?  Only because of the tunnel.  Otherwise I'm stumpy - it doesn't sound like the Owl.

Also, replace "tunnel" with "window"... even though "tunnel" is probably more correct!

Should be easy now!

Here is a really obscure clue... the stars in the window contain one of the most obscure asterisms in the sky, even though it is easy to find and observe. Unless you have already learned about it from me, you might not recognize the name... which is Jenn's Confluence!

Obscure?  Is there only one person named Paul Alsing that knows of this?  It sounds like it's through Baade's Window.  I'm about to say Uncle.

Well, I've showed it to a whole lot of people over the years, perhaps even you!

Last clue, I think... that "window, as far as I know, is the only way to see stars in the Sagittarius Arm of the Galaxy, which is normally blocked from us by intervening dust clouds. Keep in mind that you are looking for 2 dark nebulae!

Paul Alsing

OK, last clue for sure... the window I speak of is very popular and is naked-eye under a dark sky. It is a member of the most well-known list existing and the aforementioned birds are equally spaced just north of the window. Somebody? Anybody?

I bet Paul is talking about the globular clusters NGC 6522 and NGC 6528 seen through Baade's Window

That would make sense.  I was thinking two dark spots (eyes).

Oh never mind, I read all the clues -- he's talking about dark nebulae. Maybe B92 and B93 in the Sagittarius Star Cloud M24 (that's also in the GSSP2026 packet)? The window definitely sounds like Baade's Window.

No...

That is the correct answer... B92 and B93... Start reading at "physical properties"...

Yes Paul, I've definitely seen it, I think in big binos.  Did you show me?  Probably.

GSSP would have a dark enough sky to make observing it worthwhile!

I'm going to a new esoteric target with an easy reference:

What does Morticia cook for dinner? 🤔

The Witch's Head!?!?!?  LOL!

Nope.  This object's name sounds entirely edible.

Oh this one's easy: Gomez's Hamburger.

Damn this thread is noisy y’all but since it’s deepsky it’s a lot of fun (for me)

Next: You can’t call me by my old name anymore, but I sure do look like the Lorenz attractor, so maybe you can call me that… (NGC number please, hint it’s easy to remember)

Dang Akarsh - I thought you were too young to know Aadams Family.

Actually it re-ran on Cartoon Network as a cartoon, I had to look up who Morticia was (oops, is that not allowed?) and suddenly the cartoon image of Gomez came to me :-P.

Butterfly Nebula? Butterfly cluster?

There are actually 2 Butterfly Nebulae, but one is definitely "unofficial", that being NGC 2346... just speculating...

Yes Akarsh - this game is "noisy" on TAC, which has occurred to me too. It's really up to Jamie ultimately if it is too much.

We could do just one clue a day, or, I have a separate TAC-games mailing list if preferred. I do agree 30-50+ emails and maybe increasing would be a lot.

People can join if they like - the trick is having enough subscribers: https://groups.google.com/g/tac-games

Okay, before we abandon this, I'll give the answer to the question I posed:

NGC 4567
