After driving 4hrs to a very special solar imaging location and getting all setup by 7am this morning, I saw an error message pop up about ZWO camera drivers being blocked (I had not imaged in about 3 weeks)

This was most likely caused by a Microsoft security update pushed in the later part of April.  The update cannot be rolled back and
after 3hrs I only found a way to circumvent the issue temporarily.

Has anyone been affected ?
Have you found a permanent solution (other than "stop using ZWO cameras") ?

thanks,
~ philippe

I'd ask ZWO Support if they have a solution, or are working on one.

I just tested with the latest ASI/ZWO drivers, latest security updates and ASI Studio, and had no issues.

Interesting - thank you Richard.
This must be something specific to my laptop - which came with BitLocker encryption, TPMS (Trusted Platform Mgmt Sys?) and virtualization enabled.

Windows 11 25H2 build 26200.8328 (latest)  clamped down some on security.

Those three settings are very standard. I cant imagine bitlocker TPM or virtualization causing this issue. Do you have security software other than Defender?

Interesting. I wonder why I'm unaffected. Good for ZWO for jumping onnit.

I do not have any additional security software installed.

are you running any VM's ?  If not, I would try disabling virtualization, and see if that helps

The thought is tempting and I am debating turning BitLocker, TPMS and virtualization off.
Together, they almost guarantee that my laptop will be bricked if lost and someone attempts to use it.
Remove one of them and the edifice becomes vulnerable....
