When restoring suspended tabs for example with The Great-er Tab Discarder the favicons are now broken again.

This was fixed quite a while ago but it seems to have broken with the latest update.

Thanks for the heads up! I'll look into it.

Were you able to replicate the problem?

IIRC previously the issue was that favicons were not rendering correctly on suspended links in collections. I'm not able to repro this.

If this is something else, can you provide more information? Eg: Restored how? Through SB or suspender? Where is the favicon broken? In SB UI collection or session? On the tab? Do you have screenshots or repro data you could share?

Thanks,
Hans

Here is one of my windows with this problem, I am restoring the window with session buddy and using The Great-er Tab Discarder if you install that and try to open this collection with session buddy you can probably replicate the issue.

OK so as I understand it the favicon is broken on the restored (suspended) tab, not within Session Buddy. This would be related to the suspender and/or Chrome favicon caching, not SB. The suspended URL being restored does not encode any favicon data.

Have you tried to repro with a different suspender?

Hmm I see I guess I will try switching suspenders and reporting an issue to The Great-er Tab Discarder

Incidentally, when The Great-er Tab Discarder suspends a tab it converts its favicon URL to a data URI. That's why there's so many of them in your data.

I noticed Tab Suspender does this too, but encodes the favicon within the suspended URL which I'm guessing more reliably renders the favicon on the suspended tab.
