Sorry that happened. I know it can be frustrating.
More details:
Session Buddy stores your data locally in Chrome, which is a deliberate design choice to keep things private and under your control. However, this also means it relies on Chrome’s IndexedDB storage, which has been known to occasionally lose or corrupt extension data. This is rare, but across 1 million+ users some are bound to be affected.
To compensate for this risk and keep your data safe, Session Buddy includes multiple levels of protection. The primary one is automatic backups. To restore collections and history from backup, open the gear menu, click "Restore", then select the "From local backup" tab. You'll see something like this:
In cases where Chrome clears or corrupts data, this allows for full data restoration. If you’d like help using this restore feature, verifying backups, or exploring additional restore options, please reach out to
sup...@sessionbuddy.com. We’re always happy to assist.
Longer term, we'll be offering a cloud storage option that eliminates this class of issue entirely by keeping your data safely synchronized and recoverable outside the browser.
Thanks,
Hans
