Hi !

I'm starting to do some projects in Python and , as we all here, I do not want to move to another editor !

So, I'm editing my scripts with Tessie, my loyal friend since 1999 !

One of the things I do is to use the magic comment, or compiler directive, "# -*- coding: cp1252 -*-" , at the very top of any script. To instruct Python I'm on a plain ASCII file.

Are you too using Tessie for Python ? What else do U suggest ? Maybe a more tailored syntax highlight ? Other macros to be added on Potpourri ?

Thanks !

Any (other) questions just ask.

Another one:
# -*- coding: utf-8 -*-

To put in general Python related solutions in TSE Potpourri is in general probably a too specialized topic.
Python is further an AI centered language, e.g. if asking AI for images sometimes or regularly Python programs are given back as answers by the AI which one then can edit and compile from within TSE e.g. combined optionally with command line JPSoft tcc.exe and of course some Python installation.
It is (therefore) (nowadays) also the most used programming language in the world
