Recommendations for secure communication for Selenium Grid

I am trying to secure the communication between Selenium Hub and Node.  Is there a way to start selenium grid hub with https:// instead of http://

Does any one did it? or is it possible to achieve it?

Our company is trying to execute tests in production environment through Selenium Grid.   Since it is going to outside of the firewall, we want to secure the communication through https.

Questions:

1) Does Selenium Grid supports https?

2) If not, what are some effective ways that we can implement https.
