Why is selenium-server 4 in your maven repository in alpha for 3 years without any update? Was it abandoned or replaced?

That looks like an abandoned artifact. What are you looking for?

Thanks & Regards

Thanks for the answer. I am running selenium tests on a remote machine with grid. I am using the selenium-server maven dependency for that. I was looking to upgrade it, but it looks abandonned, so I am wondering if there is some other dependency that I sould be using instead?

I am running selenium tests on a remote machine with grid.

You mean:
  1. You are executing your tests against a selenium grid that you spun off manually, or
  2. Your test spins off a selenium grid via code and then points your tests against this locally running grid ?
If it's (2) I would be curious to know as to why would you need that added layer of complexity when you can just work with the regular RemoteWebDriver children (ChromeDriver, InternetExplorerDriver etc.,)

I was looking to upgrade it, but it looks abandonned

What series of Selenium upgrade are you looking for? Is it Selenium 3.x series or is it the brand new Selenium 4.x series ?

Thanks & Regards
