My talented listmates…. Ever had your attention pulled in 9 different derations just because it has to be that way? I’d like to create a commemorative 3D printed pin or coin for the re-opening of our prominent library.

I did a cursory search through Thingiverse, Printables and Maker Word for a pin and then a coin and happened upon this AI tool.

https://makerworld.com/en/makerlab/parametricModelMaker?designId=1000379&from=model_page&modelName=CustomCoin.scad&scadUrl=https%3A%2F%2Fmakerworld.bblmw.com%2Fmakerworld%2Fmodel%2FUSf051356379a9a4%2Fmsfile%2F7baa725ca493ac00.scad%3Fat%3D1775078169%26exp%3D1775078469%26key%3D0a92a84a7ab152cf36f001e0905d0b67%26uid%3D1293639719&unikey=9d43cab1-f4cd-420c-92d9-8a16e14a5258

I was able to type text in and generate an .stl file. I’d love to insert a graphic of an owl holding balloons (ala BookBeat) on to the coin but I’m not sure how to do that in this ai application.

Has anyone succeeded in applying a graphic to an object using this ai feature?

I’m trying for a BookBeat theme to the coin as creating a pin seems daunting with little time to futz with it.

But, perhaps you who are more rested or focused today and see a better (free) alternative?

Thank you,

Charles.

I think what you might be after is a challenge coin, something like:
might work a little better.

That said, ultimately what you're using is OpenSCAD:
https://openscad.org/
Bambu (and Thingiverse/etc) is just running OpenSCAD for you to modify the parameters in a little easier way.  You can take a look at the code, in this case by downloading the SCAD file found by clicking "Download STL/CAD" and picking the  coin.scad
file
